The couple will hold a Taco Del Mar roadshow for prospective franchisees to introduce the brand, its menu offering, and franchise opportunities Thursday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Zoological Trust, Rosser Conservation and Education Center, 2101NE 50th Street. Already a trendsetting businessman, Walker pioneered Midwest City's first Subway restaurants and the first drive-through Subway in Western Oklahoma. Seventeen years later, with 12 Subways and two more under construction, Walker found in Taco Del Mar a promising restaurant chain and the opportunity to bring a fresh concept to a market ready for something new. "The food tastes great and fresh, there's nothing deep fried, and it's all made to order in front of the customer," Meri Walker said.
