Spring Hill, Ca - 11 April, 2006 -
First Baby Bob took the airwaves and then that toasty slogan caught hold now Quiznos is taking over the county. Hernando County will soon be host to yet another Quiznos sub shop. Its newest store will open in about three months on Commercial Way in Spring Hill. Meanwhile, just one month ago, another Quiznos opened in Ridge Manor on Cortez Boulevard and a third opened up recently on Broad Street near the Super Wal-Mart. According to the company's Web site, that will make a total of five in the county. A spokesperson for the company said that the chain specializing toasty treats is expanding virtually everywhere. "The expansion is not just in Hernando County," said Bonnie Warschauer, a spokesperson for the company. "Florida is one of the fastest growing states in the country." Quiznos' empire has taken over Florida in recent years as it tightens its hold on the sandwich market as one of the fastest growing franchises in the world. The company has a total of 4,500 locations world wide, 60 of which are located in the Tampa Bay area. By the end of the year, they will build an additional 30 franchises in the area, Warschauer said. The restaurant got its start in Denver, Colorado, where current CEO Rick Schaden was first introduced to the shop as a customer. After writing his senior project on the sandwich joint, Schaden began buying them up a decision that proved to be a wise investment.
