A leading pizza chain recently joined forces with a top media celebrity to raise some dough for Comic Relief. Papa John's exclusively sold the ‘Red Nose Rally' pizza, which was been created by Radio 1 star Chris Moyles to mark his John o' Groats to Lands End trek in aid of the charity. Moyles designed the pizza using pepperoni, italian sausage, ham, mushrooms, green peppers, onion and black olives, and customers who purchase it during its one-off sale period during March 7th and March 18th saw 1 of the price going to Comic Relief. Papa John's also joined the rally with their Smart Car, providing pizzas for the crew as they travel the length of the country in vehicles made famous by Knight Rider, The A Team, Dukes of Hazzard and Back to the Future. Managing director Daniel Cousineau was delighted to back such a worthy cause and praised Chris Moyles for the efforts he had made. He said: "Comic Relief combines a very serious message with some really fun events and the Red Nose Rally that Chris and his team did is a perfect example of that. "We really wanted to be involved and Papa John's were only too happy to support him by selling the Red Nose Rally pizza it is great for us that they chose Papa John's. "There were big Comic Relief collection buckets at each store and we discounted the pizza provided the customer makes a donation to Chris' appeal we were also delighted on his behalf to accept any other donations that people would like to make."
