New Clients, Inc., NCI a national marketing and consulting firm to accountants and Padgett Business Services, one of the largest franchises of accounting services in North America, have announced an agreement between the two companies. Under the agreement, NCI will provide practice development training to all new Padgett franchise owners at the Padgett national headquarters in Athens, Georgia. Since 1966, Padgett has provided financial reporting and tax consulting services to independent business owners throughout North America. Over 400 independently owned and operated offices serve thousands of small to mid-sized companies each year, and Padgett regularly appears in Accounting Today’s annual list of Top 100 Firms. Since 1991, NCI has provided marketing, processing and management training services to 3,500 firms throughout the US, Canada, England and Australia. NCI also provides services to broker the sale of accounting firms. Bruce Clark, CEO and founder of NCI, said the relationship came about as a result of NCI working successfully with a number of Padgett franchise owners. Clark commented, “We successfully trained a number of franchises over the years, and recently one of their franchise owners from Milwaukee, Wisconsin suggested Padgett talk to us about our marketing techniques for accountants.” Clark said that he and Roger Harris, Padgett’s president, met in December and began structuring an agreement whereby NCI would partake in 2 days of the two-week training that Padgett provides to all new offices. “I’m extremely pleased with this agreement,” said Harris. “NCI provides a wonderful opportunity for new Padgett franchise owners to experience tremendous growth during their first year.” Clark further added, “The focus of our training will be on how these offices can get new clients quickly and build a broad base. As part of the agreement, we are guaranteeing each new franchise $30,000 in annual billing during their first year.”
