In his new role, van Lankvelt will assist with day-to-day management in the areas of marketing, operations, and administration. Murray noted that van Lankvelt will continue in his current capacity as MEDIchair's Western Regional Manager until the company finds a suitably qualified replacement. Bas van Lankvelt joined MEDIchair Home Office in 2003. Before becoming the Western Regional Manager, he was a Senior Rehab product consultant with MEDIchair Red Deer. As Western Regional Manager, van Lankvelt provided ongoing support and assistance in the operation of MEDIchair stores in western Canada. Van Lankvelt holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, and a Diploma in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal College, Calgary. He also received his designation as an Assistive Technology Practitioner from the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) and has also successfully completed an Executive Management program at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary.
