HomeVestors of America, Inc., the “We Buy Ugly Houses” franchise, has signed the company’s 250th franchise. Former Subway franchisees, Craig and Linda Brown, of Fayetteville, Ark., will develop HomeVestors’ 250th franchise office. Their franchise, ACMJ Properties, is the first of several projected HomeVestors franchises for the state of Arkansas, and their territory includes counties in Arkansas and Missouri. “This is a huge milestone for the company,” said Dr. John P. Hayes, PhD., president and CEO of HomeVestors. “Not long ago we celebrated our 200th franchise signing, so it's exciting to reach another milestone so soon. I'm proud that an experienced franchise team, the Browns, chose HomeVestors for their next business venture." Carl and Linda Brown have extensive experience in marketing, franchising and real estate. Carl worked in pharmaceutical sales before entering the franchise industry buying and operating four Subway sandwich shops. Their entrepreneurial spirit struck again after seeing a HomeVestors billboard on a trip to Oklahoma City. “We’re looking forward to getting started,” said Carl. “By being the 250th franchise, we know we’re joining an established and reputable team.
