Minneapolis-based Dunn Brothers Coffee named Dalton Advertising its lead agency, following a review involving several undisclosed shops. Dunn Brothers hired the small Minneapolis shop to help it move into new markets and establish a personality that is different from competitors such as Starbucks and Caribou, according to an AdWeek article. "This opportunity is especially cool because Dunn Bros. isn't just another chain of coffee shops, but more a collection of individual stores that are a genuine part of the neighborhoods they serve," said Rob Dalton, president of the agency, in a statement. Billings for the account were not disclosed. Founded in 1987 in Minneapolis, Dunn Brothers now has 27 stores in Minnesota. The chain has plans to expand its franchises into Dallas and possibly Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota.
